My Very First Vintage Dress
(Dress: Vintage-Thrifted, Cardigan: H&M, Tights: Kohls, Boots: Target (they're horribly dirty but I'm in love with them), Belt: Old Navy, Necklace: Forever 21, Purse: Thrifted)
As you can tell by the title, I purchased my very first vintage dress yesterday for a whole $3.75! I had to take the hem in because the dress was a few inches too long. And by I, I mean my dear, sweet mother. Thank you, mom!
As I walked out of the library earlier today, an older woman passed me and with a big smile on her face, said "Well, don't you look stylin'!" Don't those comments from strangers just make your day?
I've been thinking about clothes and personal style today and I realized that I adore it even more than I ever thought. For me, dressing the way I do isn't about impressing others or getting attention; I do it for me. I love that I can get up in the morning and pick out a combination of clothes that unique and makes me feel beautiful and like myself. As cliche as it is, person style for me is truly about being able to express myself in a way that makes me feel good about myself.
