19 Things Before 19 and Amanda Makes a Fool of Herself
(Blazer: Thrifted, Shirt: Borrowed from mom, Necklace: F21, Jeans: Old Navy, Purse: Fossil, Boots: JcPenney, Head Scarf: Handed down from my grandma, originally from Spain)You're probably here because you saw the title of this post and just couldn't resist getting a good laugh from me making a fool of myself. I understand. I hope I don't disappoint.
First, the outfit is from last night. I was just going over to the mister's house and wanted something comfy to wear. It was night time, hence the indoor photos. Also, the mister said I looked like I worked in a casino. Let's just pretend that was meant to be a compliment.
So the absolutely reliable, awesome, hard working home insurance people did a great job on fixing my room after our hot water leak!...Oh wait.... It's been three weeks since I got back and my room is still a mighty disaster so I thought I'd show you. The things I am doing my beautiful posing with would be a piece of wall and a long piece of floor molding. They make pretty excellent props for a photo shoot. Particularly on your head...
Obviously, I decided to make some Oreo truffles after.
So here's the thing, my birthday is in about 3 months. I made this list of 19 things I'd like to do before I turn 19 about a month ago and have made some progress! So here it is and I'll do my best to keep you all updated on how this goes!
1) Go on a bike ride with Jake
4) Make crepes
6) Buy a stranger coffee
8) Work on making each of my meals consist of at least 50% fruits or vegetables
9) Read at least 3 books
12) Wear heels at least once a week
13) Go on a hike I’ve never been before
14) Get over my fear of speaking in front of people via COM100
15) Go one week of only wearing skirts and dresses
17) Go on a dinner date with my mom
19) Take a bubble bath (Last time I took a bath was probably when I was 6)
I apologize for how all over the place this post is but it's Saturday so for some reason I feel like it's appropriate.
Lastly, I'll leave you with this little quote from Busy Bee Lauren that I absolutely needed to remember these past few days.
"I realized late last night that no matter how skinny I am, I will always have wide hips. And I will always have a square shaped face. My hair can’t always be stellar, and if I want a piece of dang chocolate, I better eat it. Life is about experiences. It’s made up of millions of moments that define who we are and what we will become. And I never want to look back on my life and say, “I was such a fool for thinking I was ugly.” Or “I was an idiot for not eating a piece of chocolate.”
