Have you ever met someone who just changed the way you looked at things? Even for an instant? I've met so many in my life. I can't even keep track anymore.
A few years ago, I made it my new life motto to look at the beauty in this world and the people on it rather than focusing on the bad. Since then, I feel as though I've seen more beauty than my heart can even handle, to where I find myself crying tears of joy. Maybe you meet a nurse who cares and prays for your very sick father as if he was family. Or maybe you sit in awe of the professor who pours their heart and soul into their teaching every day. Or just a stranger on an airplane who reminds you that there is still kindness in this world. I find myself thinking of these people often. These people that made me so grateful to be alive in a world where there are such beautiful souls like them walking around. I find myself wanting to know their stories. I've found that if you just take some time to hear a person's story, you will be stunned, sad, grateful, amazed, inspired, and so many other incredible feelings.
You see, the issue is that I fall in love with the world too easily and there's too much beauty to see, too many incredible people to meet, too many inspiring stories to hear.

  1. Hey girl! Just found your blog through Lauren's (One of Five) sponsor feature! What a sweet post. I made a similar vow to myself about a year ago and life has been changing in miraculous ways ever since. There is so much beauty in the world. Thanks for sharing ♥

  3. Agh I SOOO needed to read this post today and be reminded of this. I've had a grumpy day with a run in with some not-so-nice girls, as well as an unfortunate situation w a prof that left me wanting to come home and just be grumpy and nap it off. But you're right, there's so much good in the world in comparison. Thank you for this :)
